Michael Boychyn, PhD, was most recently the SVP of Technical Operations at Sensei Biotherapeutics (an immuno-oncology company) and was previously the VP of Process Development at REGENXBIO Inc. (an in vivo gene therapy company) since 2018, where he was accountable for the development, characterization, and scale-up of drug substance and product AAV manufacturing processes (cell line, upstream, downstream, formulation, device, CMC project management) from research to clinical manufacturing. He has worked in Process Development and Manufacturing Sciences on a variety of product types (AAVs, adjuvanted protein vaccines, bacteriophage-based cancer vaccines, mabs, proteins) and at small and large companies (Regenxbio, Novavax, Novartis, Amgen, Abbott, and Eli Lilly).

Michael has an MSc and PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London and a Bachelor of Chemical and Materials Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada. He lives in Rockville with his wife Karin and 2 children, Emily 18 and Robert 16.
